On the 21st September 2019, 9 brave participants from Veran Performance are taking on the Tough Mudder challenge. Tough Mudder is an obstacle course, designed to test endurance, with a course that spans 10 miles and includes 25 obstacles. These include being submerged in icy water, braving monkey bars covered in butter and mud, and mild electric shocks, to name but a few. Above everything, comradery is championed, as many of the obstacles require groups to work together to overcome them. It is under 2 months to go, and their training is well under way!
Collectively the team have decided to raise money for 2 charities;
1. The House of St Barnabas – This is a private members club with a difference. They are dedicated to breaking the cycle of homelessness and employ those that have previously been homeless. Veran is proud to be a long-term donor, and sponsor one of the dining rooms in their beautiful 19th century town house in the heart of Soho.
2. Marie Curie – For the last 70 years, Marie Curie has offered care and support to those living with a terminal illness. They have a number of hospices around the country, all dedicated to giving the best palliative care, and thousands of community nurses that make home visits to support families in their care of loved ones.
